Our Family Cookbook

I was fortunate to be brought up by a mum who cooked, and who let us kids find out about cooking. When I got married I discovered that I was actually rather good at cooking, and I've enjoyed experimenting and learning about food ever since. In addition, Roarke and I are very interested in nutrition and were determined, once we started a family, to try and bring our kids up with good nutritional habits.

We put alot of effort into trying to make meals healthy and fun. Along the way, I have picked up lots of tips and information, as well as arming myself with a bundle of recipes that the family all enjoy. Some of them are as I found them, some have been altered, and some are my own.

Various family health issues that have come up over the years means that most of the recipes here are gluten free, some are vegetarian, a few are vegan or can be easily adapted to be.

I've also included a section about gluten free cooking and baking in particular, as well as links to the recipe books that I've learned from over the years.
